I would like to take this opportunity to thank the homeowner at the corner of Township Road 544 and Stuart Hill Road for hitting me and my family with the million watt light on Saturday night. We drove 5 hours up from Pittsburgh, rented a cabin, checked out on the Google maps what we though was a good site to look at the dark sky night. The stars were AMAZING!!!! Unfortunately after about 10 min. we were hit with what seemed like a landing light from Pittsburgh International airport. I realize that you have to be cautious of activity in the area, but that was a bit much... They continued to shine it on us till we left and were about a mile up the road. If this is the way you treat visitors to the area, who came a pretty good distance, I will go somewhere else to spend my money next time.

to janparot:
in response to your post about being hit with the light .for one thing if your parked outside someones house that you do not know then why would you expect them to not check out what is going on. second there are no "homes"at that location so you should be thanking the camp owner who just like you is not from here.before you talk about how we treat our visitors you should make sure that the person your complaining about is'nt a "visitor" just like you!!!

I live in the city and I am well aware of being careful of those outside of your house. I have also been comming to Cross Forks since I was 3 years old, I am 53 now. Why in heavens name would I thank someone for blasting me with a deer light?

mabey you should read your original post to see were the thanks part came in. later you posted that "if this is the way you treat your visitors" my point was that it was a visitor just like you who put the light on you not a person who lives here, they are all camps at that intersection
