Can you still fish behind the old Deb's Place now that it has been sold? Also is there a new business going to be there?Thank you to everyone that suggested places to camp. Can not wait to get to get to the mountains.See ya all in June!
We drove back there last weekend just for old time's sake and the signs that say "Fishing Permitted-Walk in Only" are still up, so I guess it is still OK to fish there. I'm not sure if there is going to be a new business in there. I don't know who Deb sold it to.
luv2camp We drove back there last weekend also for old times sake! It was sad to see that the big old black walnut tree was cut down. That was the biggest walnut tree my husband and I ever saw.It must have been over 100 years old.I seen some other changes in the field. It looks like they might be clearing it for some thing.A campground maybe? But then if that was the case why wouldn't they keep the trees.I guess time will tell.
Yes Deb's old place is under new ownership. And yes you are still able to fish. No there will not be a bussiness we are remodeling the old bar to be a cabin. My family has been coming to Crossforks for over 50 years. We are thinking about renting out the cabin and maybe the field for camping. We look forward to meeting anyone who stops by to fish.
I am glad to hear you say that jpittman. My family is from around there. I spent a great deal of my childhood enjoying Cross Fork. I visted the creek the last time I was up to hopefully share some of my good memories with my young daughter. She loved the water.
